General Arrangements
Please contact the centre to arrange for participation in any one of our treatment programmes.
Make sure that you are aware of the treatment fees that apply to the different services and which of those will be covered by your medical aid.
On arrival, please report to reception to start your admission procedure.

Admissions Procedure – Inpatient treatment
Step 1
The first step is to call the rehabilitation centre on 051 447 4111 or email info@auroracentre.co.za
A booking will be made for admission.
Admissions will take place Monday to Thursday between 09h00 and 11h00.
If admission needs to take place on other days, special arrangements need to be made.
Step 2
The next step is to obtain pre-authorisation from your medical aid. When you contact the Aurora Centre, we will provide you with the necessary information to obtain the pre-authorisation. (ICD 10 codes, practice numbers etc.)
In the case of a private patient, the fees will be discussed during the telephonic conversation in step one.
Step 3
You will be given a list of what to bring/not to bring with you.
Once admitted you will be issued with the Centre’s rules that has to be signed by you to confirm that you agree to abide by the rules.
Admission documents will be filled out on the day of admission. Please have a copy of your ID document as well as medical aid card available.
Step 4
Shortly after admission you will be seen by the professional nurse for a medical assessment. You will be consulted by a doctor on Tuesday or Thursday.
Detoxification will commence after admission and continued for 5 tot 14 days. On the 4th day after admission you will start the treatment programme consisting of individual and group sessions.
